Winter of 2014 is coming rapidly so its time get splashing some cash for those essential winter warmers to tackle the annual battering of the elements that the UK receive. Below are some of the best items of clothing and accessories to help you along however deep your pockets will go!
Coats
The
Pea Coat doesn’t need any introduction nor will it surprise you as my selection
for a winter coat but sticking to what everyone knows best always works and in
this case it definitely is the superlative choice. The Pea Coat is both
fashionable and exceptionally warm but it does holds its own when it comes to
the rain with its thick wool. High End - Nanamica Windstopper Pea Coat – Navy - £549.00 – End Clothing

High Street - Navy Wool Blend Slim Pea Coat – Navy - NOW £65 – Topman
Waterproofs
You know the feeling… Its pouring down outside
while you stare out the window of your home wishing you didn’t have to leave
for University or Work etc… well make sure you prepare the best you can this
winter with some hardcore waterproofs that the rain will just slide off. Many
brands this year have got themselves into high street stores to provide for the
festivals then onto the winter.
High End – Norse Projects x Elka Classic Jacket
– Yellow - £145.00 – End Clothing
High Street - Rains Orange Long Waterproof
Jacket – Orange – NOW £65– Rains @ Topman

Jumpers
Picture a fisherman. What does a man who bares
the elements on a daily basis wear for his knitwear? A cable knit jumper is the
answer (along with a great white beard). The mix of wool and the cable knit
design allows for a stylish winter warmer and invites you to mix it up with a
roll neck or keep it original.High Street - Bellfield Jumper In Cable Knit – Rust – NOW £14 – ASOS
Shirts
Hitting the nightlife
during the winter is a tough task in the UK… do you either choose to go with a
coat and risk being too hot in the nightclub or wear very little and freeze to
death in the queue? A solution for this is the flannel shirt, no doubt a big
hit in the past I’m sticking with it again this year as double denim still doesn’t
tickle my fancy.
High Street - Bellfield Flannel Tartan Shirt - Navy - £30.00 - ASOS
Jeans
Raw denim jeans are my
go-to colour of jean when the winter rolls in, also I do like the splash out in
the winter on some good quality, thick denim so you may be finding yourself
either a bit skint or a bit nippy around the you-know-whats. Both jeans in this
section I have owned and are probably the best jeans around for anyone of
similar build and ambitions (short and stocky but likes a slimming jean.)
High Street – H&M Slim Regular Jeans – Dark Demin Blue - £19.00
Boots
Snow and Ice create the perfect opportunity for
all those slips and trips that everyone finds ever-so funny so this year don’t be
one of those people and buy some specialised yet fashioned boots to help plough
through the heaps of snow the UK will endure. Its either that or be the next ‘You’ve
Been Framed’ victim.
Hats

High Street - Charcoal Rib Beanie - £10.00 - Topman
